Overnight closures of part of A2033 Dover Road, Folkestone are planned for the nights of Friday 12 March 2021 to Monday 15 March 2021 inclusive, from 8.00 pm through until approximately 5.00 am each night.

A2033 Dover Road will be closed between the junctions with Harbour Way and A260 Southern Way, to the actual extent shown at any time.

The alternative routes for through traffic are

Northbound via Harbour Way, Radnor Bridge Road, Ryland Place, A260 The Tram Road and Southern Way

Southbound via A260 Southern Way, The Tram Road, Harbour Street and Tontine Street

Access to the one-way section of Harbour Way, Radnor Bridge Road and Ryland Place continues via the southbound diversion

Martello Road and Rossendale Gardens will be closed at their junctions with Dover Road, with access continuing from The Tram Road direction.

Grove Road will be closed at the junction with A2033 Dover Road; personnel will be on site to allow managed access.

Access for any residents and businesses affected will be maintained when it is safe to do so, but there are likely to be delays and certain times when this is not possible for safety reasons.

The closures are to enable Kent County Council to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works.

The works have been timed to be carried out overnight, to reduce their impact

Some delays are likely, especially earlier in the evenings, so it is recommended that motorists allow extra time for their journeys or consider using alternative routes during these works.
